Obituary for Rita A. Antinelli

Grandmother of Kaitlin Antinelli, Apprentice at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions

GENEVA – Rita A. Antinelli, 86, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the Friendly Home in Rochester, with her family by her side.

Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish.

Rita was born in Lyons, NY and has resided in Geneva for many years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita Ferguson DeLuca. She was employed at Our Lady of Peace Parish for over 30 years as the Church Secretary but did other things as well. She enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with her many friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.

She is survived by her sons, David (Andrea) Antinelli of Syracuse, Paul (Darci) Antinelli of Rochester, and Eric (Sheila) Antinelli of Rochester; seven grandchildren, David, Kaitlin, Jacob, Zachary, Michael, Colin, and Peter; her sister-in-law, Florence Stajura of Geneva; her special niece, Carla (Tony) Yanotti; her grandnephews, Nicholas and Michael; her great niece, Annie Yanotti; several cousins, and other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dewey in 2009 and her son, Peter in 2004.
